Having enough money in savings the next time an emergency happens.
Confidently submitting an application because you know you have good credit.
Planning a dream getaway without worrying about what isn’t going to get paid if you "live your best life" while on vacation.
Waking up knowing you can do what you want with your money because you’re debt free.
Going to sleep with the peace of mind that all of your bills are paid and you still have money left over.
To help you accomplish your goal of breaking the cycle of living paycheck to paycheck we will focus on the following focus areas:
Improving Your Relationship With Money
Why? Because when you feel bad about money you do bad things with your money. Chances are you’ve developed your own negative feelings about money or even have adopted beliefs from parents and caregivers.
Eliminating Your Debt
Why? Having debt means you have less money available for your needs and wants. It exasperates the cycle of living paycheck to paycheck because you’re focused on paying others rather than enjoying your money and allowing it to work for you. Minimal debt means more of your money earned is actually your money, which allows you to stop worrying about how you’ll pay people (companies).
Building Your Savings
Why? The lack of savings contributes to the creation of debt which exasperates the cycle of living paycheck to paycheck. When you have savings you become your own bank and don’t have to rely on creating more debt
Increasing Your Income
Why? More money helps. It allows you to turbo charge you financial focus area and regardless of what anyone tells you, you can always use more money.
Improve your credit
Why? In order to take advantage of real estate and or making major purposes that you don’t want to pay for with your cash saved, it helps to have good credit. Bad credit is expensive and places limitations on your life and our goal is to help you knock down any barriers that are preventing you from living your best life financially.
Protecting What You’ve Built
Why? It’s important to protect what you’ve built. We’ve heard about the celebrities who did not leave a well and we’ve seen the fundraisers to support the families of those who did not have life insurance. The purpose of this component is to make sure that your legacy is upheld.
Which is where the Blue Ribbon Club comes in...
The Blue Ribbon Club is structured in a way that supports and guides you in breaking the cycle of living paycheck to paycheck. Fully integrated in each lesson are tips, strategies, and bonus resources to re-shape your daily habits at a pace that is sustainable and authentic to your lifestyle.
To minimize confusion, you will follow a roadmap that was created to help you hit each of the milestones necessary to break into financial independence.
Glad you asked! I’m an entrepreneur, wife, co-founder, domestic violence survivor, and citizen of the world (seriously, I was born in the Philippines). I started My Fab Finance in 2013, at a time when my financial life was out of order.
It was time to stop acting like I had it all together and start getting it together.
I boosted my credit score by 130 points in 18 months and built a 3 months savings reserve while living in NYC on a $32,000 a year salary while contributing to my retirement plan regularly. Today I’ve eliminated more than $40,000 worth of debt while building a six-figure business, and helped my community eliminate $250,000 in 30 days. I recently became a mother and self funded my maternity leave while growing my business and becoming an Amazon Best seller.
I’m passionate as hell about what I do at My Fab Finance and was named the “New Face of Wealth Building” by Black Enterprise magazine and selected as a modern History Maker by TV One. I’ve also shared my financial expertise on major news platforms, such as Good Morning America Strahan and Sara, Headline News, OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network, Vogue Magazine, BET Her, Blavity, and countless other outlets. Check out my Good Morning America feature with Strahan and Sara below!
"The biggest impact My Fab Finance has had on my life in that it gave me HOPE that I did not have to be in debt forever. Before finding Tonya, I had attempted to improve my finances without success and felt like I was alone. My Fab Finance has provided great information and applicable ways for me to tackle my debt and being a part of the Facebook group allowed me to see that I was not alone. It has been a way to be encouraged and encourage others as we work towards are goals. The biggest impact from My Fab Finance is that I'm now out of default on my student loan and in an affordable payment plant, as a result of Tonya's Masterclass on Student Loans. Now instead of shame about my past financial choices, I have hope and more importantly, a PLAN and I am now working on the steps to prepare myself for purchasing my first home (also learned in a Masterclass). Thank you Tonya! You are a blessing."
"Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you. Danke, Arigatou, Gracias, Merci, Grazie. I could type the words a million times over, but I still couldn't express how grateful I am for your help. I'm a pretty extreme introvert, and I was embarrassed about the state of my finances, so I didn't tweet too often about My Fab Finance. But after realizing how much you've helped me and how much I changed in just one month--from someone who let life happen to them to someone who now has some agency--I felt overwhelmed with the need to share how much you've done for me.
Thank you. A million times, thank you. Thank you for helping me take charge of my finances; thank you for helping me feel confident about myself; thank you for helping me start on a path where I finally felt like I was moving forward. To anyone who needs help like I did, I'll tell them to come to My Fab Finance."
"What became crystal clear during the masterclass was that so many of us need SAFE, HONEST FINANCIAL REAL TALK IN A COMMUNITY THEY CAN TRUST that isn't looking to exploit them and sell them things they don't need. Tonya's patience, knowledge and commitment are exceptional."
I’ve tried before and failed. How do I know that The Blue Ribbon Club will work for me?
It’s nearly impossible for you to actually do the work and end up in the same place financially at the end of the year. Doing the work though means doing what’s best with your money on top of taking the classes. In all honesty, though if you take the classes but don’t make any changes, the Blue Ribbon Club will be ineffective.
I don’t know if I have the time. What would you say to someone like me who is just "too busy"?
Most of the content is less than one hour long. Making the tweaks necessary in your life take less than 30 minutes on average. The challenges and Facebook community are at your convenience so you can get filled in early in the morning on your way to work or in the evening after you’ve put the kids to bed.
What if I want to invest, but I don’t have the money?
We offer an affordable monthly payment option of $27, that’s less than most of us pay for brunch. But if things are super tight you can still learn from me and grab my Amazon Best-Seller, The Money Manual. It will help you get on track so that you can free up some income to enter the next phase of your journey which would be The Blue Ribbon Club. However, you cannot purchase classes a-la-carte. Our monthly and annual plans are the only options. Note: We do offer a no questions asked refund if you request it within 14 days from the day you enroll. If you have more questions about payments, billing, and/or refunds, you can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
How long do I have access to the content?
For an entire year, if you select the annual option. As long as you are a paid member, for the monthly option. You can cancel at any time. My ultimate goal is to graduate you out of this group within one year so that you’ve successfully broken the cycle of living paycheck to paycheck. From there, the goal is for you to have experienced financial independence and you’ll have options to continue our work together.
How do I access the content?
Our courses are offered via Thinkific, a course delivery platform. The community is available via Facebook groups. If you have a computer or a smartphone you’re good to go.
Do I have to use Facebook?
Nope. The Facebook group is for support and creating community updates. We will send all important details to you via email.
I’m not a millenial, can I still participate?
Absolutely. Money has no age, nor gender. Our content is applicable to people of all ages and gender identities.
What if I live outside the US?
Our courses are applicable to everyone, some content refers specifically to tools and options available in the US which you can easily research if you are outside the US. Again money is money and the basics are the same, reduce debt, build savings, increase your income.
How do the office hours work?
The third Tuesday of every month I will log into an online portal that will allow you to join and ask me questions regarding your progress for the month. If you are not able to make it you can submit your question before hand and listen / watch the replay.
